APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Remove loose particles, marine growth, chipped paint and hose off hull.

Apply SeaPro C001 to high wear areas (bow, waterline, through hull fittings), minimum 2 mils thick.  When dry, apply 1-2 coats to entire hull.

When re-painting SeaPro coated hull, merely hose off with high-pressure hose and without sanding, scraping or, re-paint with SeaPro C001.

PRIMERS

Aluminum Hulls

Normally primers are not required for SeaPro C001.  However, when used on  aluminum hulls, an oil based primer is necessary to buffer the copper/aluminum in-salt-water reaction.

Fiberglass Hulls

In field tests, SeaPro C001 was applied directly to fiberglass hulls, some sanded and primed and other untreated gelcoat.  There was no difference in the performance of SeaPro C001.  The fiberglass surface should be smooth before application

Steel Hulls

If bare or polished metal, an oil based, rust resistant primer should first be  applied.  If the hull has a sound paint coating, a primer is not necessary.

Wood Hulls

Primers are not needed as long as the hull is sound and load-carrying.
